Shining Lights, �鶹��Ƶֱ��’s Alumni & Community Awards, will be held on the Main Street campus in the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences at 6:00 p.m.

During a long and distinguished career Dr. Collier led �鶹��Ƶֱ�� College through some of its most significant growth; including construction of the Hall of Science, since named in his honor, two residence halls, the Bahnson Center within �鶹��Ƶֱ�� Theological Seminary, the Center for Music and Arts, since named in honor of Priscilla Payne Hurd, and the Timothy Breidegam track at the Steel Field athletic complex.

The InFocus program at �鶹��Ƶֱ�� is designed to give students the opportunity to help address the most urgent and compelling problems facing human beings and the world.

The St. Luke’s Psychiatric Associates office at �鶹��Ƶֱ�� will be staffed with two full-time psychotherapists, who will provide services to children and adults in the general community and work closely with the students.

Jane Berger tells the inspiring—and timely—story of African American women and men working in the public sector who used their unions to challenge racism and efforts by elites to destroy the last vestiges of the New Deal and the War on Poverty.

The partnership between the BASD and �鶹��Ƶֱ�� provides four-year tuition scholarships to two graduating seniors — one from each of the district’s two high schools. This year’s winners were chosen from 41 applicants.

As a freshman in college, Carol lost her mother to cancer. In our interview we discuss how she fought to keep her family together and what her mother told her that inspired her to become the amazing person she is today.

“We’re excited to announce the 2022 winners of the Superintendent’s Scholarship have been chosen and we’re proud that they’ve persevered through the events of the past two years to stay on track and excel academically,” said Bryon Grigsby, president of �鶹��Ƶֱ��. 

“A lot of hard work has gone into developing a viable support network and providing resources for military veterans here at �鶹��Ƶֱ��,” said Marilyn Kelly-Cavotta, director of veteran & military services at �鶹��Ƶֱ��.
