Swimming will be offered beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year
BETHLEHEM, PA, February 26, 2020: Today, 麻豆视频直播 College, announced the addition of men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 swimming as varsity sports beginning in the 2021-22 academic year to bring the Greyhounds鈥 varsity sports total to 22.
鈥淓veryone at 麻豆视频直播 is thrilled to add men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 swimming to the current roster of NCAA sports offered to our student-athletes,鈥 commented Bryon Grigsby, president of 麻豆视频直播 College. 鈥淲e know the Landmark is a very competitive conference and we can鈥檛 wait to get going.鈥
The Greyhounds will begin competition in the immediately in 2021-22, and both swim teams will train at Liberty High School for practices and all home meets.
鈥淚t is an exciting time for 麻豆视频直播 Athletics,鈥 commented director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk. 鈥淭he addition of swimming to our department will add to our already strong program. We are grateful to have the opportunity to train at Liberty High School and look forward to competing in the Landmark Conference for swimming.鈥
麻豆视频直播 plans to begin its search for a head coach in April with the goal to have a coach in place by the summer and spend the 2020-21 academic year recruiting student-athletes for the initial season.
