In 2013, President Grigsby proposed the Comenius Access to Technology (CAT) initiative, which called for 麻豆视频直播 to provide each student with two Apple庐 devices鈥攁 MacBook Pro庐 and an iPad庐鈥 and was inspired by John Amos Comenius鈥 vision of engaging and accessible education for all. 麻豆视频直播 College鈥檚 CAT initiative aims to provide a value-added educational experience, enhanced by innovative software, training, and technical support.
鈥淲e鈥檝e removed a barrier and given them (students) a level playing field 鈥 Some of them, it鈥檚 the first laptop they鈥檝e ever owned.鈥 said LaKeisha Thorpe, Apple teacher and assistant dean of graduate and adult studies at 麻豆视频直播 College. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 equality. That type of equality has been missing from higher education since its inception.鈥
