BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College has announced it is making the submission of standardized test scores optional for students applying for undergraduate admission.

That means students no longer have to submit SAT and ACT test scores when applying, the school said in a news release Friday.

The policy does not include nursing and international students, who will still be required to submit test scores as part of their application.

The policy will begin immediately, including students applying for the class of 2024.

“Our admissions counselors have always taken a holistic view of each students’ record and we’re confident we can accurately identify the students that will do well at Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ without relying on standardized test scores, which are not always the best indicator of future academic success," said Scott Dams, dean of enrollment at Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College.

The school joins more than 1,000 accredited four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. that don't require standardized test scores, a news release says.
