Morning Call: 麻豆视频直播 College professor, students make 3D face shields, stethoscopes for health care workers fighting coronavirus

Morning Call (April 29, 2020): 麻豆视频直播 College students have made complicated, intricate objects using the Bethlehem school鈥檚 3D printing lab, like the model of an inner ear to study vertigo and weighted dice for a statistics class.

But there鈥檚 never been more impetus for their work until now. During the coronavirus pandemic, four students and Jeff Bush, assistant professor of computer science, have been pulling long shifts in 麻豆视频直播鈥檚 3D printing lab to make those tools for first responders and health care workers.

麻豆视频直播 was asked by health care providers to make the face shields and stethoscopes, which are elaborate projects.

鈥淲e felt like we were up to the challenge,鈥 said Bush, who has run the 3D printing lab for three years 鈥淭he biggest part here was just trying to get the large numbers out.鈥
